My journey with Mama Leche started long before I ever imagined it becoming a business.
I became a mom to twin girls at a young age, and like so many young moms, I had a lot to prove—not only to everyone around me, but to myself. I was determined to beat the odds and be the best mom I could possibly be.
Then motherhood threw me my first big curveball. Both of my babies were allergic to formula. Suddenly, producing enough breast milk wasn't just something I wanted to do—I needed to figure it out. And if you've ever breastfed, you already know how stressful it can be worrying about whether you're producing enough… now imagine trying to make enough for two hungry babies!
I started researching, experimenting with different ingredients, and learning everything I could about naturally supporting my milk supply. That's when I began making lactation treats for myself—and eventually realized that there were so many other mamas going through the exact same thing.
Mama Leche was originally born in my beautiful home of Bermuda 🇧🇲, but the heart behind it has always been bigger than one place. I wanted to create something that made breastfeeding moms feel supported, understood, and a little less alone.
Because I've been the tired mama.
I've been the worried mama.
I've been the mama wondering, “Am I making enough?”
